While I am not volunteering to develop, draft or necessarily maintain an online newsletter for the club I can see my way clear to accept submissions from those who wish to make comments (please keep it clean and non-inflammatory), impart or request information, make suggestions, have a good idea you’d like to float generally, etc. and is related in some way to the amateur radio hobby.

The format will not be rigid however I must be able to make your contribution available on the club web site. I also know that Calvin Emerson, if elected president next month, will likely make use of this platform.

Here are my thoughts on how to handle this:

1. You can send me a Word document (file extension is either .doc or .htm) with what you want posted. Be sure to include any photographs within the document if needed

2. You can send me a text file (file extension is .txt) that I will convert to a Word document or appropriate file to be post-able on our web site.

3. You can send me an Acrobat file (file extension is .pdf) if capable. Be sure to include any photographs within the document if needed.

4. You can send me the text in an email and trust me to format into a Word or appropriate format to be post-able on our web site. If you have a preferred format I can handle Word and Acrobat available. Those who know what they want to say just not how to say it or aren’t the best with spelling, syntax or sentence structure would be most comfortable with this option.

I cannot promise immediate posting on the web site but I can promise I’ll attempt to make postings regularly. Questionable content may be brought before the current president and/or vice president prior to being posted. While we may decide best not to post, it will not be my decision alone. If I get multiple contributions for a single month I may need to rethink the “how” so it’s possible your contribution will be made available via link within a document named [month]_Newsletter.

If you want your contribution published to the web for a specific month and is already formatted the way you expect to see it, please be sure I have it at least a week before the beginning of the month you expect to see it posted. If it is not formatted yet, please give me at least two weeks before you want it posted.
