·        Old Business:

o       Grill purchase: Sie has a gas grill and also a smoker if wanting to cook and head.  Discussion on purchase from Lowe’s for $119.00 might be feasible.  Question on where to store.  Dale Brown (N5EDB) motioned to purchase and check with JT Branch about possible use of his employee discount.  $50 was donated to supplement the existing $100 donation toward purchase of grill for club.  John Harwell (KD5NAQ) seconded.  Calvin will approach JT.  Vote to proceed passed unanimously.

o       Picnic shelter has been reserved.  Calvin presented receipt to Frances for reimbursement.  Check for $50.00 has been written.

o       Repeater report: Cal visited the repeater site and changed the controller to the old one.  It is doing much better.  Attached Byrd watt meter and response is that only 7 watts are getting to the antenna.  Power amp is not doing the job.  Another visit is expected to be made on the 23rd.

o       Question asked about whatever happened to possibility of using water tower if feasible.  No update since proposed.

·        New Business:

o       Green Country Ham Fest: John Harwell informed March 16 and 17 volunteer cart drivers are needed.  Friday need is from 5 to 9 pm.  Saturday need is from 8 am to 4 pm.  Helpers are needed too.

o       It appears in 2009, Rogers State University will be occupying the Expo center for its home basketball games.  The ham fest may either need to change venue or change dates.  2008 is safe however.

o       Discussion about talk-in frequency.  It was suggested that both 2m and 7cm be manned for talk-in this year then drop 7cm for next year and hold it for local communication only, no talk-in.
